"What's the most you've ever lost in a coin toss?"
- Anton Chigurh, No Country for Old Men (2007)
Javier Bardem's portrayal of Anton Chigurh, in the Cohen Brother's adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's No Country for Old Men, still haunts me to this very day. Anton is embodiment of evil incarnate with a strict code that dictates every violent act.
Capturing the chilling expression in Anton's face mixed with the equally dark and cold color palette provided expertly by cinematographer Roger Deakins, this piece is meant to bring Chigurh's haunting presence into it's owner home.
